BENEVOLENT YOUNG ALASKANS DONATES TO ALAKPLE AND LATAME COMMUNITIES.
A concerned youth group made up of citizens of Alakple, home and abroad, on Saturday, April 3, 2021, donated some assorted foodstuffs to some identified less privileged individuals in the Alakple and Latame communities. The Young Alaskans, as part of their six-year anniversary celebration, decided to raise fund among its members to support and put a smile on the faces of some 60 persons whose living conditions were found to be below par during this Easter festive season. The items donated to the deserving beneficiaries were maize, rice, soap, matches and tomato paste sachets. The interim vice-president of the group, Joseline Demordzi, said the objective of the group is to assist the beneficiaries during this Easter as part of the group's six-year anniversary celebration, and to lessen the burden that COVID-19 has exerted on some households. The items worth Ghc 2,000.00 were fairly distributed among the deserving beneficiaries. In a separate brief ceremony held at Alakple Basic sch
